Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, Whitemoney, has expressed dismay over the level of corruption that is pervasive in the country, especially as it relates to the ongoing new currency drama
The reality star took to his Instagram page to share a video where he recounted his experience at a recent outing.
According to Whitemoney, prior to his experience at a party, he had thought the scarcity of new notes across banks and ATM points was due to the non-availability of the redesigned notes.
He was, however, taken aback when he got to the event and saw money hawkers selling huge bundles of the new notes.

Whitemoney wondered how the individuals were able to get their hands on the notes when banks in the country have not been able to.
He went on to say these hawkers sold N700k for as high as N1 million and made N300k in profit.
He wrote: ”Nigeria is a beautiful country. It’s the best country ever, I promise you. We just have corrupt people handling the sectors that serve human purposes. Every sector is just corrupt,” he began.
“Because, how do we explain that there is no money in the bank, both new notes and old notes, not in the bank
“And then I got to a party and I saw bundles of mint, ₦200, ₦500 and ₦1000. Who is selling this money to these people? Who’s giving them?
“That is not even the worst part. The worst part is that this money is expensive as hell. 700k was selling for N1M naira with 300K gain on it. We are our own problems. Certainly!”
