Sector Commander of the Lagos Federal Road Safety Corps, Corp Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, yesterday appealed to the general public to disregard the information being circulated by some unscrupulous elements that FRSC men caused the crash and asked the public to ignore the insinuation.

In a press statement to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), FRSC Public Education Officer, Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi said: “An articulated truck was said to have lost control at Grammar School Bus stop along Ogunnusi road, Lagos Tuesday 7th December 2021 which caused the death of an unverified number of students and leaving many injured.

”We want to place on record that our men were not in any way involved in the cause of the crash as patrol activities were not ongoing along that axis as at the time of the crash,” he said.

TheNiche had reported that a hit and run trailer ran into students of Ojodu Grammar School while waiting for a bus at the Grammar School Bus stop in the Ojodu area of Lagos State.

The report says the students were leaving their school after examinations and were waiting for bus to convey them home when a trailer carrying detergents rammed into them at the bus stop. The trailer driver attempted to escape, but was intercepted about 500 metres away from the accident scene.
