Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Governor of Sokoto state has been declared winner of Verbatim Magazine’s Man-of-the-Year.
News of his nomination is contained in a press statement signed by Tobs Agbaegbu, Editor -in- Chief of the news magazine published in Abuja by former editors of Newswatch.
Agbaegbu disclosed in the release that His Excellency, Governor Wamakko has been duly informed of his emergence as the winner of the award and he has duly accepted the honour.
Verbatim Magazine explained in the release that Governor Wamakko’s nomination was in recognition and appreciation of his numerous people centered policies , programmes and achievements in various sectors of socio-political and economic life in Sokoto state.
Verbatim also explained that Wamakko was found to have towered over and above many others who were also considered for the prestigious award.
The magazine disclosed that Governor Wamakko will be officially crowned Verbatim-Man-of the Year in Sokoto at a glamorous event, details of which will be released later.
