Wale Ojo, Kehinde Bankole win best lead actor, actress at 2024 AMVCA

British Nigerian actor, Wale Ojo has emerged as the Best Lead Actor at the 10th edition of the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).   

He won the award for his performance in the movie, ‘Breath of Life’ at an event held at the Eko Hotel, Victorial Island, Lagos.

Wale Ojo beat a field consisting of notable actors such as Stan Nze, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Adedimeji Lateef and Gideon Okeke.

The ‘Best Lead Actress’ award went to Kehinde Bankole for her performance in the movie, ‘Adire’.

BB Sasore-directed “Breath of Life” was the biggest winner of the night. However, this year, the competition was fierce, featuring standout showings from like ‘Over the Bridge’, ‘Mami Wata’, and ‘Jagun Jagun – The Warrior’.

The movie ‘Over the Bridge’ led the nominations with 12 categories, including Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress, closely followed by fantasy thriller ‘Mami Wata’ with 11 nominations.
