Wabara accuses Tinubu of pushing Nigerians into poverty

Wabara also stressed the importance of prioritising Peoples Democratic Party’s unity and collective progress over personal ambitions

Former Senate President and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees, Adolphus Wabara, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration of worsening poverty in Nigeria. 

He made this known on Thursday in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while speaking during the board’s emergency meeting.

According to the former federal lawmaker, the economic policies embarked upon by the Tinubu’s administration have pushed a lot of  Nigerians into poverty.

Addressing PDP members and others present at the meeting, Wabara said, “The skyrocketing cost of living, coupled with poorly implemented economic reforms, has pushed millions into deeper poverty.”

He went on to stress the importance of prioritising the main opposition party’s unity and collective progress over personal ambitions.

“We cannot afford to let personal ambitions or differences overshadow our shared vision for a better Nigeria,” he added.
