Vinicius Jr troubled Chelsea’s James in Spain, Ferdinand says

Vinicius Jr showed Chelsea defender, James no respect and ran him ragged at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night during UCL Q/F

Football Pundit and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has said Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Junior showed no respect for Chelsea defender, Reece James, when the two sides clashed on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu. 

France striker, Karim Benzema and Spanish midfielder, Marco Asensio gave Real Madrid a 2-0 win in the encounter and put the La Liga outfit in the driving seat ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday. April 18.

During the first leg in Spain, Los Blancos forward, Vinicius, put in a brilliant performance, running James ragged on the left flank.

Speaking after the game, Man United legend, Ferdinand, said he was impressed by the Brazilian forward’s display and touched on the problems he gave England International, James throughout the game.

He went on to say he suspects a repeat of the same when the two sides meet again at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday  

“Vinicius Junior showed no respect to Reece James tonight. Whenever Vini had the ball, he went straight at James.

“He will do the same at Stamford Bridge. He and Rodrygo play wide and high, ” he told BT Sport.
