Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Jr has lashed out at La Liga and ‘racists’ in Spain after he was subjected to racist chants from the stands during their 1-0 loss against Valencia on Sunday.

The Brazil international was dismissed for violent conduct deep into the extra time after getting involved in a scuffle with Hugo Duro,

He was adjudged to have struck the Valencia player, who had his arm around his neck moments prior and he sarcastically applauded the decision as he walked off the pitch to a chorus of boos.

The incensed 22-year-old after the incident, took to Twitter to vent his frustration and brand Spain a ‘country of racists’.

Vinicius wrote: “It wasn’t the first time, nor the second, nor the third. Racism is normal in La Liga.

“The competition thinks it’s normal, the Federation does too and the opponents encourage it. I’m so sorry.

“The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo [Nazario], Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi, today belongs to racists. A beautiful nation, which welcomed me and which I love, but which agreed to export the image of a racist country to the world”

His coach Carlo Ancelotti agreed with the ace winger, saying  La Liga has a “problem with racism”

Speaking with Movistar Plus after the game against Valencia, the Italian said: “What we saw today is unacceptable. An entire stadium chanting racist slurs.

“I don’t want to talk about football today, there is no meaning in talking about football today. I told the referee he should have stopped the match.

“La Liga has a problem. For me, Vinicius is the most important player in the world. La Liga has a problem, these episodes of racism have to stop the match.

“It’s the entire stadium that is insulting a player with racist chants and the match has to stop. I would say the same if we were winning 3-0, there is no other way.”
