Soludo told Atiku: “I want to say that you are one of the two frontrunners for the presidency of Nigeria. At the fullness of time, we are going to have this conversation. I’m in politics but am still struggling with whether to become a politician or not because I say it as it is.”

Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has referred to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar among the two front runners of the 2023 presidential election.
Analysts believe there are three major frontrunners in the 2023 presidential election. They include the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi.
But Soludo, in welcoming Atiku to Anambra, described the PDP’s candidate as among the two front runners in the presidential election, reechoing his November 14 article where he said his kinsman, Peter Obi, ‘is going nowhere in the 2023 poll.’
In the essay, Soludo says Obi would only deplete the votes of the PDP and pave the path for an APC victory.

Soludo came under severe criticism over the article, forcing him to stay away from Twitter since then.
But he charges again while receiving Atiku in the Government House, Awka.
He said: “I want to say that you are one of the two frontrunners for the presidency of Nigeria. At the fullness of time, we are going to have this conversation. I’m in politics but am still struggling with whether to become a politician or not because I say it as it is.”
