The Lagos leg of the #EndSARS protest took a dramatic turn on Friday, October 9 when a policeman was spotted railing curses on the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
The incident happened around Alausa, the seat of Lagos government during the #EndSARS protest.
Protesters were marching to the Lagos State governors office to register their grievance against the special police unit notorious for harassing Nigerians, especially the youths.
The policeman, obviously headed to a different direction, but had to go through the protesters, took the opportunity to register his grievance against the SARS.
While the marchers were on their peaceful walk, they suddenly hear the policeman who was dressed in police combat polo saying: “God punish their generation. Even as an officer, they arrested my brother. Do you know how much i spent. I would have supported you if not for this uniform. I love what you are doing,” he told the protesters who were surprised at his remarks.
The marchers could not help but laugh at the reaction of the policeman.
