The Senate commenced the screening of ministerial nominees today.

TheNiche reliably gathered that no fewer than 20 out of 28 nominees have completed their documentation ahead of the screening.

Wike, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was part of the first set of ministerial nominees President Tinubu forwarded to the Senate last Thursday.

Wearing a suit, Wike arrived in a Mercedes Benz jeep, exchanging greetings with hangers-on before entering into the National Assembly foyer.

Wike is one of the four former governors that Tinubu included in the list of ministerial nominees last week

Umahi is already in the Senate.

Both Wike and el-Rufai served as ministers before they were elected elected governors in 2015. they both served two terms.

Since after his nomination, a video has emerged where Wike swore he will never accept to be a minister.

At the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, during the launch of the VIP Lounge, he made it clear that only one individual can serve as a minister from a state, and he will not be that person.

Not only that, another video where Wike denounced the APC as a party plagued with stage four cancer also trended. Analysts are also considering the implication of the former Rivers State governor working for a party he claimed to have stage four cancer as opposed to the PDP which he claimed at that time had malaria.
