Veteran rapper Ruggedman stages a comeback with new single

Nigerian Rapper and talk show host, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, known professionally as Ruggedman, has said he will be collaborating with other stars, Falz, Small Doctor, and producer, Masterkraft in his new single.

The 45-year-old singer made the revelation in a recent interview with entertainment platform, Hiptv, which he posted on his Instagram page, on Tuesday.

Ruggedman in the post said he is responding to the clarion call from his fans to release a new single after a very long time. 

He wrote,  “A lot of people have asked me for new music. It’s almost time @falzthebahdguy @iam_smalldoctor @masterkraft_”

He went on to say the new song will feature other artists such as Falz, Small Doctor, and the producer of the song, Masterkraft, who is putting finishing touches to the single.

“I already have a new song coming out soon, Masterkraft is already working on it. Ruggedman featuring Falz D Bad Guy, and Small Doctor. It has been a while, although I dropped a conscious EP in 2021…wait for the new music and wait for the new show,” he added in the video clip.

Ruggedman launched himself into the music scene in 1999, producing his songs and releasing two tracks the same year, both of which thrilled the audience on the airwaves. 

He eventually became the most featured rapper in Nigeria and all his albums were released on his label, Rugged Records

The “Baraje” crooner later earned his veteran status with four rap albums among which are Thy Album Come, and Ruggedy Baba, among others.

Ruggedman has performed worldwide alongside international acts such as Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, Akon, Maxi Priest, Kanye West, LL Cool J, T-Pain, and Nas.
