The National Working Committee of United Progressive Party (UPP) has reconstituted the Anambra State executive of the party.
It has also commenced the implementation of the party policy of repositioning the chapters of the party for improved political activities.
In the new list, Chief Patrick Udealor is the state chairman, Hon Amala Onwu (deputy state chairman), Chief Anthony Agu (Vice chairman), Hon Obi Okonkwo (Vice chairman), Chidi Atuenyi (Vice Chairman), Hon Mmuo Cletus (state secretary), Okwu Mentus (Asst. Secretary), Mrs Uche Obidike (Treasurer) and Boniface Nwabnwanne (Youth leader), among others.
A statement signed by the National Chairman of the party, Chief Chekwas Okorie, made available to The Niche said that it reconstituted the state chapter of the party with a 28-member state working committee.
The statement reads: “The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party acting on
behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) resolved to commence
the implementation of the party policy of repositioning the State Chapters of our Party for improved political activities at the State level, promotion of the Party Manifesto and the Objective Principles
of its Constitution as well as the growth of the Party and its membership.
“This exercise shall be on State by State basis to ensure effectiveness and better coordination. consequently, the National Working Committee has approved the reconstitution of the State Working Committee of the Anambra State Chapter of the United Progressive Party.”
