Defining vision
Vision is foresight, based on insight with the benefits of hindsight. No kind of good life is possible without vision. If you have vision, it will throw you ahead of your contemporaries. Great men of today know how to get there and how to persuade others to go with them. It is what God shows you that make you a showpiece on earth. God will not reveal what He would not release.

Vision is the ability to see the end from the beginning. It is the ability to perceive something not actually visible, as through mental acuteness of keen foresight. “Thus vision looks not at what is presently happening”, but what could or should be happening. It shows you something that has not yet taken place and registers it in your mind. Vision never stands alone; it always originates from a known purpose. Vision is a glimpse of purpose.

Vision set goals that motivate plan of action
The primary value of purpose, for one to live a better life, is the transaction of vision derived from purpose into a plan of action. This occurs through the setting of specific goals. The presence of goals allows for both the development of a plan and the effective use of energy, as all efforts are put into the fulfilment of the purpose. Purpose that is translated into a vision causes things to happen and people to act. This is true because purpose creates vision, vision produces goals, goals permit the development of a plan, and a plan allows for an orderly journey.

There are three points in the journey of life:
Starting point
Moving point and
Turning point

Goals are steps towards the attainment of a large purpose. They create priorities, determine decisions, dictate companions and predict choices that results in better life.

The power of focus
Focus is what keeps us on track when we are trying to reach our goals. Likewise, when a person wants to create something in life, they must main focussed to achieve the goal.

Acronym for focus
F- Follow
O- One
C- Course
U- Until you
S- Succeed

There are many reasons a person loses focus while pursuing their goals. The constant distractions in today’s world mean that maintaining focus can be very difficult. Distraction of work, home, friends, socialising, events and everything else constantly compete for our attention and dedicated time.

It takes time to stay focused on achieving our goals, and it’s so easy to fail in our attempt to maintain enough momentum, desire, energy and persistence needed to achieve our goals. As a result, we often give up and think our goal is unachievable.

Another reason we might lose focus in pursuing our goals is that we may talk ourselves out of pursuing our dreams. When we first begin pursuing our goals, we may be motivated by the fact that we are improving our lives and achieving our wishes and dreams.

Shortly after starting the process of taking action towards achieving our goals, we can often begin to question the plausibility of achieving what we want. As soon as we start questioning our ability, we start to lose focus.
