Ex-Minister of Women Affairs, Uju-Kennedy Ohanenye, on Wednesday said she returned to law practice after she was sacked by President Bola Tinubu.
She made this known while featuring on a Channels TV programme, where she said she is still handling the cases she was working on before she became a minister.
Uju-Kennedy was relieved of her duties by the president during a cabinet reshuffle in October this year.
She was among five Ministers discharged from Tinubu’s cabinet.
Speaking on her sack during the interview, she insisted that though her appointment was terminated by Nigeria’s number one citizen, her visions were “not sacked”.
Uju-Kennedy said, “I was sacked, but my visions remain; my visions were not sacked.”
She added, “I have been doing all those I was doing when I was the minister of women’s affairs.
“I still go to court to defend the people that can’t defend themselves, that don’t have money to get a lawyer.
“I am still handling all the cases I had before I left, and they are quite sensitive cases, so I couldn’t just abandon them.”
