US professor Uju Anya recently doubled down on prior critical comments in which she wished Her Majesty an “excruciating” death, among other barbs — which resulted in her getting slammed by billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Anya tweeted a post after the news broke yesterday that Her Highness, was under medical supervision.

“I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating.”

Uju Anya, is an associate professor of second language acquisition at Carnegie Mellon University.

The tweet has now been removed by Twitter but not before it caught the eye of Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, the world’s third-richest man, who retweeted the message and wrote: “This is someone supposedly working to make the world better? I don’t think so. Wow.”

However, the message had no impact on Anya, who unleashed yet more comments right after the palace announced the monarch’s passing yesterday afternoon.

”If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star.”

There have been varied reactions to Uju Anya’s comment.

@BrianStark3ER said: “She didn’t supervise a government, she was our Head of State. It’s a ceremonial position really. They don’t have any political sway. If you think our monarchs are riding into battle, and colonising nations – well, I think your history might be a little hazy.”

@ola_ayeni_ said: “If after more than six decades, your family and all those alive today are yet to overcome the past, then it’s certainly not the fault of the queen. Perhaps it’s time you took a critical look within your own selves.

@Igerpat said: “This isn’t about forgiving as the wrong person’s being targeted. The Queen has never had power of government. She can’t interfere in the Prime Minister’s decisions. In any case, not forgiving doesn’t make it ok to wish a painful death on someone.”

@NekaOpene1 said: “We still have an unfair class system, a few privileged people with inherited wealth, no reparations for all the stolen wealth from the common wealth, no apology for the genocides etc. The queen and monarchy are still at fault. Pls stop the gaslighting.”
