Two injured as hoodlums attack Customs officials in Ogun State

-

Two customs officers have been injured following attack by hoodlums along Papalanto community, the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has said.

It would be recalled that an officer attached to the Command, Inspector of Custom, Abdullahi Kuso, was almost lynched at the same location (Papalanto) on 7th July, 2018 by a group of criminals involved in smuggling.

In a statement made available to newsmen by the command’s spokesman, Abdullahi Maiwada on Friday, a combined team of customs and other security agencies tactically succeeded in securing the seized items out of the scene in a professional manner thus avoiding any loss of life.

Maiwada noted that the seized items have been secured with three suspects currently under interrogation at Customs Command Headquarters.
