Two feared dead at Iganmu police station fire

-

By Uzor Odigbo

No fewer than two people have been feared dead and many injured in the Orile Iganmu part of Lagos as mob set the police station on fire.

Eyewitness in Orile where protests have not been evident since the beginning, thugs proceeded to the Police station with the aim of burning it down, with the police killing two in the process.

The protest in Lagos and other parts of the country against police brutality that started as a peaceful one has since degenerated into chaos with many lives already lost, as hoodlums and criminals have hijacked it to perpetrate their own evil agenda.

In the past five days, there have been reports of unrest and killings due to cult clashes in Ikorodu and Ketu.

Thugs who have an axe to grind with one another have seized the opportunity presented by the protests to cause violence, disrupt civil life, destroy private and government properties, intimidate and assault innocent persons going about their lawful business.
