The insinuation that corruption thrives in the judiciary manisfected itself today( Tuesday) at the Lagos High Court Igbosere as two court registrars were scolded in the open court by a visibly angry judge for allegedly issuing a reproduction warrant to a defendant without the knowledge and approval of the judge.

The judge, Justice Sybil Nwaka did not take the action of two of her registrars, Tayo and Oluwola lightly as she issued a threat to fire them.
Justice Nwaka who was  angry with the registrars, questioned how the duo could bring a defendant or an accused person on their own to court without an order of the court.
“It is only the Judge that has the right to order a production warrant, the substantive matter is not in this court.
“The two of you are up to something, my hands are clean, everyday is for the thief but one day is for the owner.” Justice Nwaka retorted.

It would be recalled that a defendant, Tunde Adewale had appeared before Justice Nwaka for hearing of his bail application which was eventually thrown out by the court.
While insisting that she never ordered the production of the defendant, Justice Nwaka noted that the substantive matter was not before her and that she does not even know the charge preferred against the defendant except only for the bail application.
According to Justice Nwaka, “I do not even know the charge against him, it is only the bail application brought before me, you sign a reproduction warrant on your own without my knowledge, I am going to send the two of you away from this court.
“The motion for bail is hereby struck out. Take him back to the medium prison, I never ordered for his production” Nwaka declared
