Tunisia, despite defeating France 1-0 on Wednesday night, were eliminated after finishing 3rd in Group D behind France and Australia

One of five African representatives, Tunisia, tournament hosts, Qatar and 7 other countries from Asia, Europe, North America and South America will play no further part in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup after their elimination.
These teams expected to catch the next flight back to their countries are Canada, Ecuador, Iran, Wales, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Denmark and Qatar
Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Denmark joined the list of the countries sent packing from the Mundial after their final group matches on Wednesday.

Despite defeating France 1-0 on Wednesday evening, Tunisia could not progress past the group stages because they finished in the third position in Group D behind Les Bleus and Australia.
Denmark, who narrowly lost 1-0 against Australia and Mexico who defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1, were also knocked out after finishing third and fourth respectively in Group C behind Argentina and Poland.
The list of teams that are homebound is expected to increase to 13 today, as four more countries will join these 9 teams after the conclusion of Groups F and E fixtures later today.
