Bayern Munich boss, Thomas Tuchel has explained why his side lost the first leg of UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarter-final at the Etihad Stadium to Premier League champions, Manchester City.
According to him, Bayern Munich lost because they lacked confidence and form during the pulsating encounter.
The Citizens opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the game, after Rodri netted a stunning effort from the edge of the box.
Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland added goals after the break in the 70th and 76th minutes respectively, ensuring Man City took a healthy lead to the Allianz Arena for the return leg.

Speaking to Prime Video after the match, Tuchel noted that his side didn’t play up to their ability, but added that they deserved at least a goal.
He said: “I think we deserved at least one goal and gave away one or two too many. I think our players were lacking a bit in confidence and form.
“Of course, the result is bitter for us. I fell in love with my team a little today, the way they performed. Even if it sounds strange, that was a lot of fun.”
