Trinity Guy finally regains freedom after weeks in prison

Trinity Guy on June 26 was remanded by an Oyo State magistrate court after featuring a minor in his skit

Popular Nigerian Skitmaker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, better known as Trinity Guy, has finally been released from prison after weeks of incarceration.  

TheNiche earlier reported that Trinity Guy was arraigned on June 26 by the Oyo State police command on two-count charges of conspiracy, sexual abuse and exploitation following his decision to feature a minor in his controversial prank video.

During his trial, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi ordered that he should be remanded alongside the parents of the minor till the next sitting on July 11.

During the second sitting, the Magistrate after reviewing his case, further extended his stay in the Agodi prison in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. 

However, after meeting his bail condition on Friday evening, Trinity Guy was released from the correctional facility.  

This was made known by his colleague, Abdulgafar Ahmad, aka Cute Abiola, who took to his Facebook page to announce he is no longer in detention.

Sharing Trinity’s picture on his social media page, Cute Abiola wrote: “TRINITY is finally free on Bail. I’m wishing you all the best brother. May Almighty Allah keep guiding you to the right path. Welcome back! My guy don pray tire, see him forehead.”

Also confirming that the comic actor is out on bail, Nollywood actress and movie maker, Lizzy Anjorin celebrated his release on her social media page. 

Expressing herself in Yoruba language, the thespian shared Trinity Guy’s picture and captioned it,  “OLORUN SEUN 🙏🙏🙏💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃 OMO OLOGO GBERAAAAAA (thank God, he has been released) @iamtrinityguyz,”.
