Tribunal upholds Geidam’s election as Yobe governor

The tribunal’s chairman Justice Mojisola Dada in the judgment delivered today in Abuja dismissed the petition of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate Adamu Maina Waziri for his inability to prove beyond reasonable doubt that there were electoral malpractices in the April 2015 governorship poll in the state.

The Yobe State Governorship Election Tribunal on Wednesday upheld the election of Governor Ibrahim Geidam of Yobe state.

The tribunal’s chairman Justice Mojisola Dada in the judgment delivered today in Abuja dismissed the petition of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate Adamu Maina Waziri for his inability to prove beyond reasonable doubt that there were electoral malpractices in the April 2015 governorship poll in the state.

She held that in spite of insurgency of Boko Haram in the state, elections still held.
