Toyin Abraham says she was body shamed after miscarriage

Toyin puts an end to the 6 months of speculation that she was pregnant, after expressing desire to have more kids despite recent miscarriage

Popular Nollywood thespian and movie maker, Toyin Abraham, who is also known in some quarters as Toyin Aimakhu has confirmed she lost a pregnancy recently.

The actress made this known during

an interview on Channels Television programme ‘Rubbin Minds’ hosted by media personality and anchor of Big Brother Naija, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. 

Narrating the bitter experience, Toyin puts an end to the 6 months of speculation that she was pregnant, as she also expressed her desire to still have one or two more kids despite the miscarriage. 

She said, “When the time is right, the pregnancy will stay.

“I plan to have more kids. I was actually pregnant, but I lost it. I cried because I wanted to have one or two more kids and am done.”

Also responding to the question on how she was body shamed after getting bloated from the pregnancy loss, she stated: 

“Things happened and I was bloated, and many body-shamed me but ‘am used to it as an actress. Everybody was just like, “you are too fat, look at your husband, he is young. Look at you, you are fat,” but they don’t understand.”

Toyin went on to say she was able to handle the negative comments from netizens because it’s a trend she is used to as a celebrity

She added: “I am used to it as an actress, you have to, or else, you will jump into depression.”
