BBNaija finalist, Angel, has criticised Nigerians for slut-shaming Tiwa Savage and not treating her like a victim in her leaked sex video saga.

She had earlier wondered why the blackmailer who leaked the video was never arrested and prosecuted by the Nigerian Police.

The BBNaija star made the comments in a recent interview with Potpourri. According to her,  the Nigerian society is more interested in shaming celebrities, not protecting them, and Tiwa Savage is a victim of such tendency.

She also believed that despite Tiwa Savage’s mistake, she was the victim in the case and she shouldn’t have been slut-shamed.

“We live in a society where celebrities are dehumanized, she made a mistake and that’s okay. We are human beings. I was more concerned about the slut-shaming and victim-blaming.” She said.

Angel also made it known during the interview that issues relating to her personality and family life were misconstrued while she was in the house.

She also refuted accusations by fans of the show that she made nudity and flirting with the guys her winning strategy during the show.

In her words: “I am not responsible for anyone’s perception of me. People are going to believe what they want to believe.

“I would however like to state that nothing I do is for male validation; I dress sexy because I love to feel sexy.”

She also clarified that far from the image she portrayed on the Reality TV show, she is single and not ready to start a relationship.

Angel is one of the celebrities who spoke in defense of Tiwa Savage when the sex tape was leaked. She has continued speaking for her despite the backlash.
