Tiwa Savage scores Nigerian men low, says they’re not ‘romantic’

Tiwa Savage, however, admitted that Nigerian men are generous, but added that she wants more than that in a relationship.

Afrobeats singer, songwriter and actress, Tiwa Savage has explained why she isn’t considering dating Nigerian men, saying they are not “romantic”.

The ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner made this known during a recent conversation with GRam Daily’s ‘Thoughts in a Culli’.

According to Savage, although Nigerian men are “swaggalicious” they are not as “romantic.” as men from other countries.

She went on to admit that Nigerian men could be generous, but added that she is looking for more than that in a relationship. 

Speaking during the interview, the ace singer said, “Nigerian men do have swag but they are not really romantic when it comes down to it.

“They know how to swag and splash cash but I’m not looking for that.”

Savage married record label executive, Tunji Balogun aka Tee Billz on November 23, 2013, in a traditional marriage held at the Ark in Lekki, Lagos State, and a white wedding at Armani Hotel in Dubai in 2014.

The duo, however, went their separate ways in 2018 after attempts to resolve their differences proved futile.
