Tiwa Savage says she’s willing to become second wife, vows to respect co-wife

Ace Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, has said she is willing to consider polygamy and become a second wife.

She revealed this while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of the American podcast, ‘Air Service.’

According to the mother of one, she is at a point in her life where her eligible suitors are either in their 50s or already married. This current reality, she explained, has made her open to the idea of being a second wife.

Speaking during the chat Tiwa Savage said, “If I meet somebody who can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know. Maybe I can be a second wife. I think so. I could be a second wife.”

The ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner went on to assure that she wouldn’t be troublesome to her co-wife, stressing that she is respectful and would be focused on work.

“I think I can go along with the first wife and she’s going to love me because I’m not going to be troublesome. I’m going to be going on tours, I’m not really going to stress you. I’m very respectful, I know that you are the first wife and would accord you that respect.” she added. 

Tiwa Savage married music executive Tunji Balogun—also known as Tee Billz—in 2013. However, they went their separate ways in 2018.
