Tinubu will finish third in 2027, Southern Kaduna population insignificant, NSA’s office provides food to bandits in forests – El-Rufai

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai says President Bola Tinubu would finish third in the 2027 election.
El-Rufai says in the worse case scenario in 2027, there will be run off after the first ballot fails to produce a clear winner. He says in the run off, Tinubu would not be on the ballot because he would have finished third.
El-Rufai also dismissed the population of Southern Kaduna people, saying it is insignificantly low, in fact, lower than 25 percent.
Southern Kaduna is a majority Christian area of Kaduna State believed to have about 45 percent of the population. But El-Rufai claims the figure is inflated.
El-Rufai made those comments when he appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today while justifying the Muslim-Muslim ticket he promoted in Kaduna, saying it was a strategy to win election.
He claimed that the Southern Kaduna people who occupy eight out of the 23 local governments of the state, do not have the numbers in elections. He said the population of the area has largely been inflated, hence the reason he opted for a Muslim-Muslim ticket to win election.
When asked about the improved security situation in the country, El-Rufai claimed there’s cover-up.
According to the former APC chieftain who is now leading ADC coalition in the North West, the office of the National Security Adviser pays bandits and sends food to them under the guise of non-kinetic approach in combating insecurity.
He says traditional rulers in Kaduna whom he appointed while as governor still provide him information about the security situation in Kaduna, claiming it has not improved.
The former Kaduna Governor claims that an 80-year-old elder statesman told him that the Tinubu government is the only government he has seen in the history of Nigeria that came into office without the intention of working for Nigerians. He says the man told him that the government came to make money for itself and nothing more.
