Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu condole Soludo over father’s death

Tinubu encouraged Soludo and the people of Anambra to take solace in the excellent legacy of the departed nonagenarian.

President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have sympathised with Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo over the death of his father, Pa Simeon Soludo.

The governor’s father died aged 92 on Monday. He is survived by seven sons, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, described late Pa Soludo as a dignified and charitable family man.

He said that the deceased lived a fruitful life that was exemplified in the achievements, personal quality, and sterling records of his son.

“I pray the Almighty God grant your beloved father eternal rest. He lives through you still; in your sincerity, good works and deeds,” he said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, on Monday said that Pa Soludo lived a fulfilled life.

He urged Gov. Soludo, the bereaved family, friends and associates, as well as indigenes of Umueze, Isuofia community and the people of Anambra to immortalise the late nonagenarian.

”The elderly and wise counsel of Pa Soludo would be sorely missed, not only by his family but the entire people of Umueze, Isuofia community and the entire people of Anambra State.

”I pray God will grant Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo eternal rest and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
