Popular legal luminary, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), the immediate past governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola and his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike were among the names forwarded to the Senate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as ministerial nominees.
Also on the list are former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, eminent medical scholar, Ali Pate, an economist, Olawale Edun, banker, Adebayo Adelabu, All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Mrs. Betta Edu, Senator Ben Ayade and veteran journalist, Dele Alake, who is currently the Special Adviser on Media, Strategy and Special Duties to the president.
Prior to this development, different purported ministerial lists have been in circulation as the President kept Nigerians guessing.

But According to The Nation, former governors, technocrats and professionals made the list, while the President also accommodated some leaders of the major opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in his attempt to form a government of national unity.
It is understood that Tinubu sent the list to Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Thursday morning.
This is in line with the constitutional provision that the list must reach the National Assembly within 60 days after the President has been inaugurated.
President Tinubu took the oath of office on May 29, when former President Muhammadu Buhari completed his term and handed over the mantle of leadership to him.
