Bola Tinubu lacks the political will and the capacity to deal with hardship across the country, just as the 36 Governors are also copying from the playbook of deceit of a President making the poor poorer and bankrupting the rich, Osun Muslim Community has called out the incompetence and lies sitting in Aso Rock.

Osun Muslim Community President Mustafa Ajisafe said political leaders are not committed to addressing the raging hardship in the land.

Ajisafe spoke at the Muslim Community secretariat in Osogbo as part of activities of the group commemorating the 1446 Hijrah, the Muslim new year.

He stressed the current situation demands an agricultural revolution across states, especially in the South West, where farming is on the decline.

Said he: “Our leaders lack the political will to fight the excruciating hunger ravaging the country as a result of economic crisis around the world. Our leaders rather than concentrating on agriculture to reduce hunger, they were busy distributing motorcycles as empowerment.

“Instead of President Bola Tinubu to focus on rescuing the economy from inflationary crisis, he is busy with the politics of 2027. He is busy dissipating energy of politics rather than good governance.

“The Governors are busy distributing motorcycles, hair dressing [equipment] beautician equipment to youths instead of revitalising the various agricultural settlements to concentrate on their areas of comparative advantage with a view to pulling the country out of the woods.

“Until we have people whose love for the country and its people supercede that of their personal ambition, then, maybe they will lead the country into prosperity”.

On the new Islamic year celebration, Ajisafe said Muslims are the most tolerant people, stressing the need for continuous religion harmony in Osun and Nigeria at large.

He disclosed the commemoration activities include Qur’an competition, entrepreneurship skills acquisition for youths, a public lecture, and a grand finale to be chaired by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
