President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, to attend the coronation of former governor of the state, Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan.
The president arrived at about 2:25 p.m. on Friday and was ushered in by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
He was accompanied by the governors of Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun states, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Biodun Oyebanji, and Ademola Adeleke, respectively.
His arrival, which was met with a rousing reception from a massive crowd of dignitaries and citizens, marks the climax of the week-long series of events celebrating the ascension of the new monarch.
The President departed Abuja through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
Oba Ladoja emerged as the 44th Olubadan following the demise of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7, 2025.
The Olubadan stool is highly respected for its distinct succession system.
