The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Tincan II Command while declaring its performance indices shows that despite several challenges that affected business flow, the sum total of N23,525,782,214.00 (Twenty three billion, five hundred and twenty five million, seven hundred and eighty two thousand, two hundred and fourteen naira, no kobo) was recorded by exceeding the annual revenue target with over N6b representing 36.8% in the year under review.
The Image Maker of the Command, ASC1, Farouk A. S. who gave TheNiche Newspapers the statitics on Friday said that though “We have achieved beyond reasonable doubt in 2018, and that the Command Area Controller, Comptroller Lami Wushishi is looking beyond high revenue profile, saying that the agenda for 2019 would speak volume since there are several strategies for re-orientation on ensuring that stakeholders key to the new module that would soon be unveiled to meet maximum productivity.
According to him, the Command which have been receiving its maximum revenue from the Free Trade Zone, has established an infrastructural tendencies that will over haul the operational methodology, which he explained would be embraced by Stakeholders.
Sequel to the reform policy of the Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali, on suppression of smuggling activities as well as the mandate of maximum revenue collection, the Tincan II Customs Service has introduced “Stakeholders Compliance System” for good service delivery.
The Controller therefore reiterated the need for full fledged compliance, advising that 2019 would be different in making the Command Stakeholders delight. She also said that the Command officers are highly commendable, adding that she has gained more fulfilled confidence reposed on her by her officers and men as well as the Stakeholders.
