Thomas Partey fit again, available for the Liverpool clash

Thomas Partey has recovered from the injury which sidelined him against Watford and will be available against Liverpool

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is fit and available for his side’s clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was sidelined during the Gunners 1-0 win over Watford at the Emirate. 

The injury also stopped the defensive midfielder from joining up with the Ghana squad during the international break.

Party had previously been played regularly by Mikel Arteta, he started the last six Premier League matches.

In his absence, Belgian midfielder, Sammie Lokonga, has helped Arsenal fill the gap his absence created successfully.

Meanwhile, The Athletic, reported that  Swizz international, Granit Xhaka, has stepped up in his recovery from the knee injury he suffered in September. 

He is now back in light training, running outside and Arsenal say he is aiming to return to full training in January.

Sead Kolasinac, however, suffered a “significant” left ankle injury while playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina during the international break.

Kolasinac was on the end of a strong challenge from Finland’s Jukka Raitala, which saw him shown a red card, and will be assessed.

Captain Pierre-Emerick was also injured during Gabon’s 1-0 win against Libya during the international break, he will also be assessed.

Liverpool has their injury worries ahead of the encounter, with left-back Andy Robertson rated “50-50” for the clash. 

Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are all out, but Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane are  “hopeful” of being played.
