Since coming to national limelight, Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State never failed to amaze people. People have commented about his Yoruba middle name of Oluwarotimi (God stands by me) and running battle with Mrs. Patience Jonathan among other things.
Since joining the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), he went through so much to make APC relevant in Rivers State. His contributions to the campaign project of the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, was very remarkable.
Going by his political stance, it is believed that he would get a place in the incoming cabinet which any politician would happily accept.
However, Amaechi has said he would accept an offer after due discussion with his wife, Judith, who happens to be a major decision maker in the family.
“She has gone through a lot with me. I was ever busy and even when I am not around, she never let the home front suffer. She is always there. So when the goodies come, I think it is proper to let her be a major decision maker,” Amaechi said.
He revealed that during the campaign period, his wife jokingly told the President-elect that she is donating her husband for the time being.
The strong bond between them could be attributed to the fact that the governor happens to be Judith’s first love, hence she had been playing a leadership role as adviser, friend, mother and wife to Amaechi when he contested and won election into the Rivers State House of Assembly.
