Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has urged Nigerians to stop comparing him with controversial
artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable.
He issued a stern warning on Monday in a post he shared on his official X page.
Portable has often been likened to the ‘Akpako Master’ due to his street-hop musical style and controversial persona.
Reacting to the comparison, Terry G made it clear to netizens through the post that it is “disrespectful” to compare him to the ‘Zazu’ crooner.

He went on to brag that his music remains popular and relevant over a decade later, setting him apart from Portable
Speaking via his verified social media page, he wrote: “Comparing me to Portable is disrespectful because I actually have music people listen to 10 years later.”
Known for his eclectic and provocative style, Terry G gained popularity with hits like “Akpako” and “Free Madness.”
The duo collaborated in 2023, when Portable featured Terry G on his song ‘Ogbafia’, they also appeared on C Prince’s ‘Koba.’
