The shut down of telecommunications services in Kaduna State has not deterred bandits from terrorizing residents. On Monday, October 11, the terrorists, whose goal is to destroy education, have  attacked St. Albert the Great Institute of Philosophy, a Catholic-run major seminary situated in Fayit community in Kagoma Chiefdom in the Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The local government where the seminary is situated, has traditionally been a battleground for political dispute between Christians and animists, on the one side, and Muslims.

A report by  NewsWireNGR, indicated that the  bandits attacked the seminary on Monday night at about 8pm, shooting their way in and out of the school where Catholic priests are trained.

According to eye witnesses, the operation lasted for over an hour before local hunters and vigilante intervened and that was when the attackers left.

It was gathered that some students were abducted by the terrorists. It is not clear how many students they took away.

The school has yet to issue a statement, including the police and the Kaduna State government.
