Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has admitted that English striker, Marcus Rashford went partying after their Premier League defeat to arch-rivals, Manchester City last weekend.

The Citizens coasted to a 3-0 drubbing of the Red Devils at Old Trafford last  Sunday, with Erling Haaland scoring his first derby goal in the process.

The Norway striker tucked away a penalty for the opener in the 26th minute by sending United keeper, Andre Onana the wrong way from the spot after VAR decided Rasmus Hojlund had pulled back Rodri in a crowded home area.

Haaland then scored a second and his 11th league goal of the season in the 49th minute after finishing off a blistering sweeping move to power home a header from Bernardo Silva’s cross.

He then turned provider, setting up Phil Foden for the third goal in the 80th minute after Onana had denied the outstanding Rodri a goal of his own during the  one-sided encounter.

However, speaking ahead of this weekend’s trip to London side Fulham, Ten Hag labelled Rashford’s decision to party after such a heavy defeat to a rival club as “unacceptable”.

He went on to clarify that the Three Lion forward has since apologized for the incident.

“Yes, I am aware of it, I spoke with him about it.

“It’s unacceptable. I told him. He apologised. And that’s it. For the rest it’s an internal matter,” Ten Hag said.

Rashford has scored only one goal for United in 14 matches this season and has been heavily criticized by fans and pundits for not doing enough to improve.
