Ten Hag spoke on the club’s captaincy on Friday, August 26 during the press briefing ahead of the PL clash against Southampton

Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has said Bruno Fernandes will wear the captain armband as the club faces Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium later today.
According to him, in the absence of Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, who led the team in their 2-1 win against Liverpool on Monday, will captain the team.
Ten Hag spoke on the club’s captaincy on Friday, August 26 during the press briefing ahead of the Premier League clash against Southampton.

Pundits have called on the Dutchman gaffer to strip Harry Maguire of the Manchester club’s captaincy following his poor performances in recent times and hand it over to Fernandes,
“We have a leadership group and Harry is one of them, Bruno is one of them. Bruno did quite well as captain.
“He led by example and he brings so much energy to the team in and out of possession.” Ten Hag said
The Red Devils will hope to build on the impressive 2-1 win over arch-rival, Liverpool when they travel to take on the Saints in the 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday
