Nigerian Afrobeats singer, songwriter and record producer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has reacted to rumours that she got pregnant for popular American rapper, Future.
The ‘Born In The Wild’ crooner sparked pregnancy rumours after she was spotted at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show in December last year, donning a black dress with a purple fluffy coat and matching heels.
Many netizens who commented on the pictures which later made the rounds on social media, noticed the way the dress clung to her body and suggested that she was pregnant.
They went on to name Future as the possible father of the unborn baby.
Addressing the rumours while featuring on the recent episode of ‘The Breakfast Club’, Tems debunked it and questioned why those behind it thought Future was the one who got her pregnant.
She also wondered why it never occurred to them that it could have been Wizkid or Drake, adding that Future was an easy pick “because of his reputation”

Speaking during the interview, Tem said, “People just take the most controversial things. Because I was thinking like, why am I pregnant for Future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest.”
“Why not Wizkid? Why not Drake? Why not somebody else? If it was Drake, it would be the same thing but the reason why it is Future is because of his reputation.
“He has about five kids. And has a reputation of being a ladies’ man.”
Tems further revealed that top rap artistes such as Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Ab-Soul, Andre 3000 and J.Cole inspired her music.
