La Liga President, Javier Tebas has apologised after Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior took exception to a comment he made after the Brazilian was racially abused by Valencia supporters during a recent league game.

Following the incident, Tebas said the 22-year-old allowed himself to be manipulated and accused him of not appearing at meetings with La Liga after his allegations.

Reacting to the comment, Vinicius angrily took to his social media page, saying Tebas left the most important issue and started attacking him.

He wrote: “Once again, instead of criticising racists, the president of LaLiga appears on social media to attack me.”

After the Real Madrid striker’s post made the rounds online, the La Liga boss apologised to him and insisted his comment was not intended to attack the Brazil international.
