TAGA recognises outstanding NGOs

The Africa Givers Award (TAGA), is recognising organisations that have been involved in giving succour to those in need. 

According to a statement by TAGA founder, Willie Workman Oga, the award is majorly for stakeholders that have pulled their human and financial resources to keep the non profit sector alive. 

The organisations to be recognises include; Sesor Empowerment Foundation founded by Ier Jonathan, FishNet Alliance an advocacy group for fishermen in Africa,  coordinated by renown environmentalist Dr Nnimmo Bassey, Joseph & Eunice Oladaiye Foundation (JEOF),  CEE-HOPE, founded by Betty Abah whose focus is working on the rights, welfare and development of at-risk young persons and their families.

Oga said:  “TAGA promises to be an annual event which is born out of the fact that we feel that over the years, the Non-Governmental space across Nigeria and Africa have not being fully recognized and rewarded on a bigger stage to highlight their various contributions in providing humanity services in communities often undertaken by various individuals, Government agencies, and other stakeholders.”
