The Nigerian Army has confirmed that its troops neutralised two suspects believed to be responsible for the murder of four soldiers in Rivers State.

He disclosed that two gang members were captured during the raid but were neutralised when they attempted to flee into the bush after a prolonged pursuit by the soldiers.
The operation, conducted following credible intelligence reports, led to the recovery of several weapons including an AK-47 rifle, a Fabrique National rifle, a pump-action shotgun, two locally made rifles, three AK-47 magazines and ammunition of various calibres.
Danjuma reiterated the army’s commitment to bringing perpetrators of such heinous crimes to justice, assuring citizens of ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property.
“We assure citizens of the division’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, and we encourage them to continue providing actionable intelligence on the activities of criminal gangs,” he added.
