Super Falcons who were ranked 45th in the previous ranking released in December 2022, have now moved to the 42nd position

Nigeria’s senior female soccer team, the Super Falcons moved up three places in the latest women’s ranking released by world football governing body, the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Friday.
Prior to the latest ranking, the Super Falcons were ranked 45th in the previous one released in December 2022, but have now moved to the 42nd position in the world.
The nine-time African champions also maintained the first position in Africa in the first FIFA women’s ranking for the year 2023.
South Africa, Cameroon, Ghana and Cote d’l voire complete the top five teams on the continent.

World champions, United States of America retained top position on the ranking despite winning only one of their last four games.
Germany moved to second position, with Sweden dropping to third position, while England and France complete the top five teams in the world.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking will be published on June 9, 2023.
Super Falcons were last in action in February when they participated in a four-nation invitational tournament tagged Revelation Cup, where they won one game and lost two.
Randy’s Waldrum’s ladies are expected to regroup next month to engage Haiti and New Zealand in friendlies in Antalya, Turkey.
