Super Falcons face Brazil in opening group fixture of Paris Olympics

Super Falcons qualified for Paris Olympics after edging past South Africa 1-0 on aggregate last week

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will tackle
Brazil’s female national team in their first group game at the 2024 Olympic Games billed to take place in Paris, the capital of France.

Randy Waldrum’s side qualified for Paris 2024 Olympics after edging past South Africa 1-0 on aggregate last week.

The Nigerian team secured passage into the tournament after beating Banyana Banyana 1-0 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja and forcing them to a goalless draw at home in Pretoria.

The encounter against Brazil will take place on Thursday, July 25 at the Stade Matmut- Atlantique, Bordeaux and kick-off is at 6pm.

The Super Falcons will then square up against world champions, Spain three days later at the Stade de la Beujoire, Nantes in the second  game by 6pm.

The nine-time African champions will round up their group stage campaign against Japan on Wednesday, July 31.

The game, which will also be played at at the Stade de la Beujoire, Nantes, will kick-off at 4pm.
