Ologunloluwa argued that with 7 matches remaining, Sunshine Stars can still survive relegation

Chairman of Sunshine Stars football club, Bamidele Ologunloluwa has assured the supporters of the Ondo State based outfit that the management of the club will do everything possible to ensure they maintain their top-flight status next season. 

The Owena Waves remained in the relegation zone after playing a goalless draw against another relegation threatened side, Heartland in Akure on Wednesday.

Speaking with Sunshine Stars media recently, Ologunloluwa urged fans of the club to remain calm and continue to support the team.

He added that with seven matches to go, Sunshine Stars can still survive relegation.

He said, “We still have seven matches to play in the League and with sincerity of purpose we can still end the football season above the red zone.

“This is just a trying time for the team and as managers we are not relenting in our players and officials’ welfare whose salaries and bonuses are paid as an when due.

“This is not the time for name callings, blame games, rather it is a period that all and sundry need to come together to lift our heritage, Sunshine Stars to make sure they do not go down.”

Sunshine Stars are currently in the 18th position on the NPFL log table after garnering 34 points from 31 games.
