Huma rights activist and the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the February 25 presidential election, Omoyele Sowore has claimed the Department of State Services (DSS), denied him access into the premises of the Supreme Court to witness the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

According to him, the DSS operatives at the entrance of the court said, ‘No access for Sowore,’ on sighting his car.

He went on to add that their action shows the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) and President Tinubu are out to  persecute Nnamdi Kanu

Speaking via his social media page, Sowore tweeted: “I tried attending the Supreme Court ruling for #FreeNnamdiKanuNow this morning but was denied access by an unruly team of @OfficialDSSNG officers stationed at the gate of the #SupremeCourtofNigeria screaming #NoAccessforSowore.

“It was shameful and this tells that the persecution of Nnamdi Kanu is an @OfficialAPCNg official position. The regime of Bola Tinubu @officialABAT is in on it.”
