Ghana qualified for this year’s world soccer fiesta on away goal rule after earning a 2-2 aggregate scoreline against Nigeria.

However, before reaching the playoffs stages against the Super Eagles, they had defeated South Africa in rather controversial circumstances in November 2021.

The Bafana Bafana supporters have now  made it clear that they will be supporting Uruguay and other teams in Group H to progress to the knockout stages ahead of Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar

The fans took to their Twitter handles to recount how they supported Ghana against Uruguay at the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup in Johannesburg, a game The Black Stars eventually lost to the Sky Blues.

South Africans have now vouch never to support Ghana in this year’s World Cup and prayed for their early ouster at the group stages of the competition.

“South Africa is proudly behind Uruguay.” A South African, Ndu Khubone said.

Another one identified as Vuyani marina also wrote, “I am focusing on Group H, I want Ghana to suffer. What they did to Bafana Bafana cannot be forgiven.”

Ghana is in Group H alongside European power house, Portugal,  first World Cup host and winner Uruguay, and Asian representative,  South Korea.
