There is a rage on social media over a Nigerian teenage actress, Regina Daniels allegedly marrying a 59-year-old politician, Ned Nwoko.
If true, Regina would be Nwoko’s youngest and sixth wife as the politician is said to be married to other five women.
Many have called Nwoko a cradle snatcher and others said he should be arrested and prosecuted for marrying a minor.
Others say she is 19 years old and not 17 as is being rumoured.
But the actress has debunked the rumour saying those who peddle it are out of their minds.
She posted on her Instagram page and said: “Rumours plssss, Not anymore.”
Others have interpreted her post as bailing on Nwoko whom it was rumoured has almost completed the traditional rites of marriage.
Pictures emerged on social media showing her dressed in traditional attire, the type worn only in traditional marriage occasions.
A Friday post by bloggers, Instablog9ja, said that Regina Daniels had gotten married to billionaire businessman and politician, Hon. Ned Nwoko, in what was reported to be his sixth marriage.
Late in March, she showed off a wristwatch she bought for over N3 million.
In the same month, she shared pictures of a house she bought for her mother and two cars she acquired.
Born to an actress mother, Rita Daniels, Regina started acting at the age of seven.
She reportedly earned N10,000 for her first movie, Marriage of Sorrow.
In July 2016, THISDAY reported that she earns N500,000 for a role in a movie.
