Nigerian singer Oluwafemi Oladapo, better known as Slimcase, has seemingly echoed Davido’s sentiments about their colleague, Burna Boy.
Davido sparked controversy on social media last year after he placed Burna Boy in the same category of “new cats” with Rema, Asake, Fireboy and Omah Lay.
Speaking in an interview with Brut, the Electricity’ crooner said: “Everybody knows that I was one of the first, me and Wizkid to blow up. It feels good also seeing that the news cats coming up; like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Rema, Asake, and Mayorkun.”
However, delving into a similar topic while featuring on a programme on Cool FM, Lagos, hosted by reality star, Tacha, Slimcase said Burna Boy sounds like a new singer anytime he listens to him.

According to the ‘Shaku Shaku’ crooner the Grammy Awards winning artiste’s
songs always sound new to him despite spending over a decade in the music industry.
He said: “The top five artists I am feeling right now, Burna Boy is number one. He is still a new artiste. He is always new to me everyday.
“I am also feeling Wizkid Chan, Omah Lay, Wizkid, and Baddest [Davido].”
