Singer, Lyta, opens up on why he left Olamide’s YBNL

Lyta signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in 2018 but left the label in May 2019 after a disagreement with Olamide

Nigerian singer, Babatunde Rahim, better known as Lyta has disclosed why he parted ways with YBNL, a record label owned by popular musician, Olamide.

Lyta made the disclosure in a recent interview, where he revealed all the efforts he made to remain cordial with his former boss. 

In a viral video, which made the rounds on social media, the upcoming artiste revealed that he left YBNL because he heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry. 

He went on to say he didn’t know who or what to believe and some people eventually got into his head.

In another clip, the singer revealed that Olamide unfollowed him on Instagram and that since then, they haven’t spoken to each other.

The 24-year-old added that he has made efforts to get back to Olamide’s record label, but Badoo as he is fondly called didn’t answer. 

He said, “I tried returning to YBNL, but Olamide did not respond…”

Lyta signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in 2018 but left the label in May 2019 after having a disagreement with Olamide. 

He, however, released a 5-track debut EP before they went their separate ways.
